Audio Visual Technical Support

Q. Do you offer technical support when we hire from you? Are you contactable if we have a problem?

A. Yes, we offer full phone support so when a AV technician or engineer delivers the equipment to you he will leave you with his contact details.  In fact, if the event is for only a couple of hours it is more than likely that the technician will hang about or wait outside while the event proceeds.  For big events or where the customer would like the event to proceed smoothly, technicians are available to stay at extra cost.

AV Dry Hire Service

Q. Do you offer a dry hire service that we can set up ourselves?

A. We do we have small projectors and screens for hire that you are able to dry hire but the bigger screens and projectors we prefer to set up ourselves, this is to ensure that the equipment stays in tip top condition and the screens remain clean. You`ll be suprised by the number of jobs we get where people have hired projectors and screens from other companies and not able to set them up or the equipment has arrived in an unusable state or generally dirty.

Q. We`re another AV company, can we dry hire from you?

A. We do not offer cross hiring to other AV companies, but we do work with other AV companies across London and Surrey.

Deliveries and local collections

Q. Do you offer a service where we can pick up the audio visual equipment we hire from your premises?

A. No, we like to deliver and set up ourselves to make sure all is running properly before we leave . Occasionally we make an exception but not as a rule. We find delivery is better for the equipment as we can ensure that the equipment has been looked after properly  .

Q. What is the the cost of delivery ?

A. when you ask us for a price all prices will include the hire and delivery set-up and collection projector hire in Surrey will be £55+vat  a projector hire to London will be £75+vat sound system in Surrey will be £75+vat  the only Extra costs will be at weekends, same day, late bookings

Ordering

Q. How do we place an order with Proscreens ?

A. All orders are processed by email.  info@proscreens.co.uk  When we receive your email our Booker will process your order and get back to you as soon as possible. Please give us as much information as you can i.e times you would like delivery etc.

Bookings

WE DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS OVER THE PHONE FOR US IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A EMAIL TRAIL THIS PREVENTS PROBLEMS  

A booking will be secured once venue details and equipment hire has been agreed in a email from both parties. Upon making a booking you abide by our terms and conditions. Proscreens will then be guaranteed at your event on that date and time. 

Payment Terms

Payment will be required in full with a credit card  or a PO Number on or before setup on day of event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellation of Booking

 cancellation occurs within two working days of the delivery date, the customer shall incur a cancellation charge equal to the full rental charges.

Safety

Proscreens technicians have a duty to observe safe working practices at all times. Should a technician deem something unsafe he has the right to request changes. Health and Safety is the sole responsibility of the hirer whilst using the equipment supplied by Proscreens.

AV Equipment on Hire

The customer will take care of the equipment from time of arrival to time of collection. Any damage (other than fair wear and tear) will be repaired by Proscreens or their appointee and will be charged to the customer. If any of the property is lost or stolen during the hire period, or extensions thereof, Proscreens reserves the right to charge the customer the retail price of the lost or stolen items.

It is the responsibility of the client to supply a sufficient power source with sufficient earth to the location where needed by our technicians. Any equipment damaged by improper power supply or surge will be the responsibility of the client.

Screen hire sizes

Screen sizes quoted are the actual picture size. The height of the whole screen will be higher due to legs that it comes mounted on. You will need to add 4ft to the height to allow for legs. It is the clients responsibility to make sure the screen hire actually fits the location they wish it to be. We recommend a site visit by one of our technicians which maybe chargeable. For health and safety reasons the screens can only be set up and dismantled by Proscreens employees.

Proscreens will supply all equipment in a safe and usable condition. Equipment is visually checked and tested upon return. Equipment is also checked prior to set up. All electrical equipment is regularly PAT tested. Equipment will be delivered in good working order. Unless notice is received to the contrary as soon as reasonably possible and in any event no later than within 24 hours of delivery. Equipment will be deemed to be in good working order, except for any defects not detectable by reasonable examination.

In the unlikely event any equipment should fail while on hire, the client should advise Proscreens by telephone as soon as possible. The client should not attempt to repair any equipment without Proscreens permission.

We reserve the right to impose additional charges at the end of hire period if the equipment on hire is not available to collect upon agreed collection time.

Delivery and Setup

Clients have 30 minutes free engineer time with all hires 

 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the venue is ready for the installation of the equipment at the agreed time, if our technician is delayed due to the venue not being ready a charge of £50.00 per hour may be charged.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform Proscreens if there is no parking available on site. Any costs incurred due to Proscreens having to find parking elsewhere will be charged to the client unless otherwise agreed beforehand.

Insurance

The customer will insure the equipment during the rental period for all eventualities. Proscreens does not accept any losses incurred directly or indirectly in the unlikely event of equipment failure.

Weather Conditions

In the event of adverse weather conditions or other acts of god it may be necessary for us to halt or cancel the event in the interest of public safety and the safety of our employees.
