DCP Cinema Projector for Outdoor Cinema
ProScreens supplies DCP cinema projection, outdoor cinema screens and sound systems for councils, town centre events, film festivals and event organisers across the UK. From a single screening in a local park to a programme of films over a festival weekend, we can supply the equipment and technical crew to run your outdoor cinema.
DCP Cinema Projector Hire for Outdoor Screenings
When your film distributor supplies a Digital Cinema Package (DCP), we can provide a cinema-compliant projection system with a compatible cinema server and a projectionist. We select the projector and lens to suit the screen size, the distance available between the projector and screen, and the light levels at the venue.
If the DCP is encrypted, we can provide the cinema server details so your distributor can issue the Key Delivery Message (KDM). We’ll coordinate the playback window with you and, where the film and key are available in time, check playback before the audience arrives.
Outdoor Cinema Screen Hire Across the UK
We supply framed and inflatable outdoor cinema screens in a range of sizes. The right screen depends on the venue layout, how many people you expect and how far back the audience will sit. We also look at the space needed for the projector, speakers and screen supports, particularly in town squares or other sites where space is limited.
- Framed outdoor cinema screens suit venues where a rigid screen can be positioned and secured within the event layout.
- Inflatable cinema screens are an option for parks, showgrounds and other open sites with suitable space for anchoring.
- Outdoor LED screens can be a better fit for daytime events. If your film is supplied as a DCP, tell us early so we can check the playback requirements for your chosen setup.
For projected screenings, we’ll help you choose a start time that gives the picture enough contrast. On long summer evenings, the light on the screen can make as much difference as the choice of projector.
Sound, Setup and On-Site Support
We can provide a complete package with the outdoor screen, DCP projector and server, sound system and technical crew. We handle delivery, setup, playback checks and pack-down, and can stay on site to run the screening. If you’re planning an introduction, awards presentation or Q&A, we can also supply microphones and mix them through the event sound system.
We’ll discuss access, power, ground conditions and the position of the screen before the event. Outdoor screenings are weather-dependent, so we’ll also talk through how wind or rain could affect the setup and what options are available at your venue.
Request a Quote for DCP Projection and Outdoor Cinema Screen Hire
Tell us your event date, venue or postcode, expected audience size and proposed screening time. If you know the film title and whether your distributor is supplying a DCP, include those details too. We’ll recommend a screen, projector and sound package to suit your site and put together a quote.
